This course is a companion to the book, Elemental Witchcraft: A Guide to Living a Magickal Life Through the Elements by Heron Michelle. You will need to have a copy of the book on hand to work through these lessons.

It is highly encouraged to read each chapter before watching the corresponding videos or working through the corresponding lessons in this course. For example, before starting Lesson 1 in Module 1, you’ll want to have first read the entirety of Chapter 1 of the book.

Getting Started

The “Getting Started” section of this course roughly corresponds to the Introduction of the book (pages 1 - 11). Here we are just giving you the lay of the land and introducing you to ideas we will further expand on and integrate throughout the course.

MODULE 1

Path to Dedication

Module 1 corresponds to the first 7 Chapters of the book (pages 13 - 156)

These first seven lessons can be worked through anytime of the year, however it is advised to work through all of them before starting Modules 2 and 3. These lessons and exercises will prepare you in advance for the applied Elemental Witchcraft lessons of Modules 2 and (espeically) 3.

MODULE 2

Dedication

Corresponds to Chapters 8 - 11 of Section 2 of the book (pages 157 - 228) | Start by October 1st after completing Module 1

Module 2 puts a heavy emphasis on preparing for Dedication to the Pentacle Path. While you can explore these paths anytime you wish, we recommend beginning to map your journey in Module 2 no later than October 1st and holding your Dedication Rite (Ritual 3, page 222) during the full moon closest to the Sabbat of Samhain (when the sun reaches 15 degrees of Scorpio in the Northern Hemisphere or 15 degrees Taurus in the Southern Hemisphere).

MODULE 3

Walking the Pentacle Path

Corresponds to Section 3 of the book (pages 229 - 422) | Start immediately after your Dedication Rite at Samhain

Module 3 is where you walk each elemental path throughout the turning of the year. This is where we dig into the praxis of Witchcraft and begin applying all that we’ve learned from Modules 1 and 2. Each lesson provides a guided tour through the elemental mysteries, synchronized to the seasonal tides of the year. It is most magickally auspicious to begin Module 3, starting with the elemental lessons of Earth, immediately following the sabbat of Samhain. In the Northern Hemisphere, Samhain occurs when the sun reaches 15 degrees of Scorpio (15 degrees Taurus, for the Southern Hemisphere witches). See the Wheel of the Year Calendar for dates.

In conclusion…

Complete the “Getting Started” section.
Dive into Module 1 and work through the lessons in the order they are laid out. Go at your own pace. Each lesson builds on the previous lesson.
After completing Module 1, start Module 2 no later than October 1st with the plan to complete it and perform Ritual 3: Dedication Rite to the Pentacle Path during the full moon closest to the Sabbat of Samhain/High Autumn. Until this time journal regularly, meditate daily (or as often as you can), and celebrate the seasons and lunar tides as they turn.
Upon completing Module 2, perform your Dedication Rite during the full moon closest to the Sabbat of Samhain.
Start Module 3 immediately after Samhain (Northern Hemisphere 15 degrees Scorpio/Southern Hemisphere 15 degrees Taurus) after you have completed your Dedication Rite to the Pentacle Path.
